IN-STUDIO

  • Advance registration required.
  • Please note the cancelation policy.
  • As a courtesy to instructors and fellow students, arrive on time (or better yet, a few minutes early) for classes, and inform the instructor if you must leave early. If you’re more than 10 minutes late, you may not be able to join the class. Latecomers are particularly disruptive in Pilates and yoga classes!
  • Bring:
    • For Yoga: Your own yoga mats, yoga block(s) and yoga blanket(s). 
    • For Pilates Mat: you can bring your yoga mat and place it on to of our thicker Pilates mats.
    • Your own reusable water bottle or cup so you can use our filtered water cooler. Bottled water is available for $1.
    • (We do provide weights and other equipment needed for classes. Yoga mats (1/4" thick) and yoga blankets are for sale in our Abundance Boutique.)
  • What to wear:
    • Wear whatever you can move in comfortably: leggings, sweats, yogawear, shorts, t-shirts, etc. Close-fitting is better than loose for mat-based classes (Pilates, yoga).
    • Pilates, yoga and Nia are done barefoot. Please see the class description for specific class recommendations. If you wear sneakers or dance shoes to class, PLEASE be sure the soles are clean before entering the studio! Dirt and debris from street shoes are very damaging to our special floors and can be dangerous to those who are barefoot. We strongly recommend having a clean pair of shoes only for dancing and not wearing them outside the studio if possible.​​​

  • Sign up for class.​ Make sure your email address and your mobile number are correct on your MoveStudio account.
  • You will receive an email with a direct class link and meeting ID/password about 30 minutes before class for the Zoom session.
  • Add hello@fitgrid.com to your email contacts (or the class email will likely go to your promotion/spam box).​

VIDEO ACCESS

  • Same-day video access. Evening video access extended until 1p CST the next day.
  • Sign up for video access in advance of class.
  • You will receive an email with directions on how to access the video within an hour after the class ends.
  • *Email is from movestudiostaff@movestudio.com. (Check your spam/junk box if you do not see an email within the hour after class ends.)

​Welcome to the MoveStudio Community!

We hope you enjoy your experiences here and ask your cooperation in observing a few basic policies. By voluntarily participating in classes and activities at MoveStudio you agree to abide by studio etiquette and policies.

Thank you for your consideration — and for being part of our community!

  • As a courtesy to instructors and fellow students, arrive on time (or better yet, a few minutes early) for classes, and inform the instructor if you must leave early. If you’re more than 10 minutes late, you may not be able to join the class. Latecomers are particularly disruptive in Pilates and yoga classes!

  • For workshops and events held outside of regular class hours, please arrive early or call if you are running late, as the front door may be locked once the event begins.

  • To maintain our peaceful environment, turn off or silence your phone while you’re here, or better yet, leave it in your locker. Under NO circumstances should phones be used/messages checked inside the class studios. If you must use your phone, please do so outside to avoid disturbing others.  

  • To help make the most of our space and protect the floors, do not bring street shoes, clothing, purses, bags, food, or drinks other than water into the class studios. You may bring in water, a towel, and any other items needed for class. If you wear sneakers or dance shoes to class, please be sure the soles are clean before entering the studio! 

  • Use the complimentary lockers in the dressing rooms for purses, valuables, phones, etc. MoveStudio is not responsible for theft of valuables in the studio or parking lot.

  • Studio is designed for adults; we do not have onsite facilities or staff for childcare. Read about our partnership with a nearby hourly childcare facility. For their own safety and the comfort of other members, do not bring children to the studio unless it is for a class specifically designed for children (Musikgarten, Mommy & Me, Kids Yoga, etc.). Mature teenagers 15 to 17 are welcome to take classes or private training may be arranged. Release Form for Minors- Must be completed by parent/guardian for minor prior to participation in any activities at MoveStudio. Parent/guardian must complete the Online/Printable New Student Form above for themselves as well, regardless of parent/guardian participation.
  • Please be conscientious when you have foot injuries, warts or fungus issues, infections, etc. that can be transmitted in a barefoot environment. Wear shoes or socks and secure bandages until the condition is fully healed.

  • Please don't wear perfume or other scented products to class, since many people are sensitive and even allergic. However, a freshly washed body (and feet) and use of antiperspirant and/or deodorant are appreciated by fellow students!

HEALTHY PRACTICES

​When visiting MoveStudio

SELF-SCREEN FOR SYMPTOMS
Do not come to the studio if ANY of the following applies to you. If you appear to be sick (even if it's just allergies), you will be asked to leave.
  • Cough

  • Headache

  • Sore throat

  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

  • Chills

  • Repeated shaking with chills

  • Muscle pain

  • Loss of taste or smell

  • Diarrhea

  • Feeling feverish or a measured temp greater than or equal to 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit

  • When a quarantine is advised by CDC guidelines

 

HEALTHY PRACTICES

  • Wash or disinfect your hands upon entering and before leaving the studio (at minimum).

  • Wash. Your. Hands. Frequently. Completely lather for 20+ seconds.

  • Hand sanitizer is available at the front entry. Be sure to apply enough and let it air-dry for the best benefits.

  • Do not touch your face (especially eyes, nose, and mouth).

  • Do not wear street shoes in class. Wear clean STUDIO-ONLY shoes when needed. If needed, change from your street shoes into your studio-only shoes in your car before entering MoveStudio.

MASK POLICY

  • Face coverings (mask, scarf, bandanna, handkerchief) must be worn in common areas. 

  • If "masks required" is in the class name, please honor this request on behalf of the instructor and fellow students. 

  • If "mask honor system" is in the class name, please wear a mask if you are not fully vaccinated. Mask is optional for fully vaccinated.

  • Masks are optional during class if nothing noted is in the title.

  • If you are prone to allergies (especially sneezing), wear a mask throughout your visit.

 

PROPS/SUPPLIES

  • Bring your own yoga mat, yoga blankets, straps, and towel.

  • Bring your own water bottle, already filled.

  • One-touch policy for other equipment (weights, Pilates rings, etc): Student places the studio equipment/weights that he/she uses on the ‘used’ rack in the studio. Staff will properly disinfect before it is used again.
